Q. How much is a Membership and how long does it last?
A. 2007-2008 membership is $85.00 and expires on May 31st ,
2008.
Q. Can I play in a tournament without a membership?
A. Generally not. If you have an odd situation please call.
Q. What tournaments can I play in with a membership?
A. With a NJGC membership, you can play in any tournament we
host, regardless of location. Of all our tournaments in 2006-2007, only 2
events will be an "invitation only" event. This includes our Southeast Regional
Tour Championship concluding the summer tours. All registration entries made 3
days or less of an event will be subject to a $ 15.00 late registration
fee.
Q. What are the age divisions?
A. As you will see, our age divisions are different from most
Junior Golf Organizations. We feel that these divisions provide a more
competitive atmosphere for all of our members. * Please watch for new age
divisions to take effect June 1st, 2005.
Boys - 5-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-18
Girls - 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-18
Q. Can you play in a different age division than your current age?
A. Yes. You can only play up in an age group, never down. We
base you appropriate age group based upon your age as of June 1st of this year.
If you decide to play up in an age group you are required to stay in that age
group for the remainder of the year. This decision must be made and finalized
before your first event of the membership year.
Q. How do you calculate the points?
A. Please refer to our Rules
section for more info.
Q. Why can I not login?
A. If you are having trouble logging in it may be for several
reasons:1). Does your password include Caps? 2). It may be because we do not
have your correct email address, password, or your last name may be misspelled
in our database. If you are having trouble, please
contact us via email to resolve the problem. If you have a spam
blocker, you will need to allow mail from NJGC.
Q. When are the points seasons?
A. June 1-August 31, September 1-December 27, December 28-May
31
Q. Can I request to play with my friend at a tournament?
A. We arrange the pairings based on your Stroke Average. Per
age group, the times are assigned as follows: The highest stroke averages tee
off first, this group will either be a 2-some or 3-some. The lowest stroke
averages tee off last and may be grouped as a 3-some or 4-some. If the
event allows us to pair you with a friend, our office must have at least a 7
day notice indicating that you and your friend (they must be registered at that
time) request to be grouped together and we will try to accommodate your
request if at all possible.
Q. How do I login?
A. You will only need to set up your account once to begin
using the features of our new webpage. Once you have submitted all information
and your membership fee, the office will set up your login information. Once on
the home page you will enter your email address and the password that was sent
or requested at the time of your membership, then click "logon". From this
point on, when you visit this webpage you will need to login in the upper left
hand side of the screen with your email address and password. If you have a
spam blocker you must allow us to send email from the NJGC to your email
address, as we send weekly emails with important information and tee times.
Q. Are spectator carts allowed?
A. The NJGC permits spectator carts. All arrangements
pertaining to carts and cart rentals must be made with the host club. Not all
host clubs allow spectator carts. It is up to spectators to call ahead and find
out each clubs rules regarding this issue.
Q. What is the refund policy?
A. A refund will be given if you withdraw from a tournament at
least 7 days prior to that event. All cancellations will be subject to a $20.00
service charge. All cancellations must be requested by phone.
Cancellations by email will not be accepted. There will be NO
refunds for cancellations made 4 days or less, prior to an event without a
medical or doctor's note. If you have a special circumstance, please call our
office to discuss your situation. Events that will be non refundable are
Championship Events and TYGA Ranked events. If a member has two or
more "did not show", failed to cancel for events, all membership and
registration fees must be paid upfront and member must have a valid credit card
on file before they can register for any other tournament. If you register for
an event and do not show and fail to cancel, your credit card will be charged
the total amount of the event fee. All registration entries made 2 days or less
of an event will be subject to a $ 20.00 late registration fee. Refunds are
usually given within 7 business days. Please be sure to call and cancel if you
will not be attending an event you have registered for.
Q. What is the adverse weather policy?
A. Under all circumstances, the NJGC staff will do everything
possible to complete a tournament regardless of weather conditions.
Unfortunately this sometimes requires that we play in adverse conditions. We do
play in the rain. We do not play if lightning or thunderstorms are
present. If it is not possible to complete all 18 holes of a tournament and all
players of an age group have completed 9 holes, the NJGC will post these groups
9 hole scores. No refunds will be given if 9 holes of an event are completed.
If it is not possible to finish 9 holes, the entry fee paid by participants may
be used towards a future event. Because of costs already incurred by the NJGC
at these events, we are unable to give refunds due to adverse weather.
